Letter from Councilman Burkette:
I would like you to join the Montgomery City Council, Mayor Strange, and myself in honoring volunteer cheerleader coaches, football coaches, team moms and referees associated with Montgomery Little League Sports.

The City Council officially acknowledged March 27, 2015, as ?Volunteers' Recognition Day? for our dedicated, caring youth ambassadors. For many years, my appreciation for the Central Youth Alabama Football League and South East Football League has served a very integral part of providing athletic opportunities that foster mentorship, teamwork, and most importantly, exposure to children and parents who largely depend on volunteers when they are not available.

Their efforts to spend time, energy, money, and possession of a strong will to assist the children in lifelong values, have been paramount towards building a foundation of trust. Further, they have given children a sense of pride in what they do on and off the field.

Without the help of many individuals who generously donated their time and resources, the athletic programs could not be successful. We all realize the generosity in giving back to our communities and young people is not without personal sacrifice.

Therefore, a special banquet honoring these great leaders in our community will now take place on Tuesday, March 31st, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at the Multiplex in Cramton Bowl. Over 400 volunteers throughout the city are expected to be recognized for their service to young people.

Lastly, this event requires a tremendous commitment from sponsors. You can help by making a monetary or in-kind donation to show your support for one of Montgomery?s supreme recognition of youth sports and volunteerism. I am asking that you please give your donation by March 19, 2015, to help continue this great gift to Montgomery citizens.

Youth Basketball

TO REGISTER FOR TRYOUT “TODAY” YOUTH BASKETBALL TRYOUTS

Boys Basketball Tryouts OR Girls Basketball Tryouts – To Register Click Here

Here at Legends Basketball, we offer competitive youth basketball tryouts for boys and girls. Our teams participate in basketball tournaments and leagues at a competitive level of play. Legends Basketball teams participate in competitive youth basketball tournaments and leagues year round in various competitive sports associations such as, but not limited to, AAU Basketball, MAYB Basketball, USSSA Basketball, NCAA Certified basketball exposure events, and more for competitive youth basketball opportunities. To join our program, the first step is to assess the player at a Legends Basketball Tryout. During tryouts, players are assessed for skill level, position(s), and opportunity for team placement. Athletes that successfully make the teams are continuously evaluated for performance; and offered in-house advanced basketball training to accelerate the individual player’s performance to the next level of basketball

We are committed to adhering to high standards for coaches and parents in their position as a role model to our youth. $88/$110NR per player

TEAM FORMATION:

All players need to register individually for this program. Coaches may help form their team by submitting a roster before Monday, July 30th. (Full team requires 9 players.) Individuals who register without a coach will be placed on existing teams or new teams will be formed. Teams will be formed according to the grade for the 2018-19 school year.

Note: only players who are registered (with the league and USA Hockey) are allowed to play in KCIC summer league games.

Subs - only players who are registered in the KCIC league are allowed to play in league games. Any player subbing for another team must be on a KCIC team (and need to receive permission from the opposing teams captain prior to the start of the game).
